We mapped 200+ high-intent transactional and informational keywords across every product category and sub-category. From this foundation, we built topic clusters: a pillar page for each major category (e.g., "bedroom furniture Toronto") supported by 8-12 supporting articles targeting long-tail variations. Every category page was rewritten with 400-600 words of SEO-optimized copy, unique product descriptions, and schema markup for products, reviews, and breadcrumbs.

Authority Building

With technical and on-page work underway, we launched a targeted link acquisition campaign focused on Canadian home décor publications, lifestyle blogs, and industry directories. Over 14 months we earned 85+ editorial backlinks from domains with DR 40+, including features in two national lifestyle publications. This lifted the domain's authority from DR 12 to DR 34, dramatically improving the site's ability to rank for competitive head terms.

Conversion Optimisation

Traffic without conversions is noise. We implemented heatmap tracking, conducted A/B tests on category and product page layouts, added trust signals (reviews, guarantees, delivery info above the fold), and streamlined the checkout from 5 steps to 3. Conversion rate on organic traffic improved from 0.9% to 2.4%, amplifying the revenue impact of every new visitor earned through search.
