Google Business Profile Build-Out

We started by claiming and fully optimizing the Google Business Profile: business category selection, 500-word business description with target keywords, 40+ high-quality service photos, complete services menu with pricing, Q&A population, and posts schedule. We also implemented a review generation strategy — a simple post-job SMS sequence — that collected 34 new 5-star reviews in the first 60 days, dramatically boosting the business's local authority signals.

Citation Network & NAP Consistency

We audited existing citations and found 23 inconsistencies in name, address, and phone data across 15+ directories. We corrected every inconsistency and built out 50+ new citations across high-authority Canadian and industry-specific directories. Consistent NAP data is a foundational local ranking factor, and this cleanup produced measurable movement in Map Pack positions within the first 30 days.

Neighbourhood Landing Pages

We built 18 geo-targeted service pages covering every major neighbourhood and municipality in the GTA service area (e.g., "Emergency Plumber Etobicoke," "HVAC Repair Mississauga"). Each page was written with genuine local relevance — referencing local landmarks, typical housing stock, and seasonal considerations — rather than thin templated content. These pages now rank on page one for dozens of low-competition, high-intent local queries.

Google Ads Bridge Campaign

While organic rankings built, we launched a tightly structured Google Ads campaign targeting 60 emergency and intent-heavy service keywords. We used call-only ads for mobile searchers, implemented call tracking, and set up a negative keyword list with 200+ exclusions to eliminate irrelevant clicks. The campaign delivered leads at $38 cost-per-lead in month one — well under the client's target — and the data fed directly into organic keyword prioritization.
